Prior to founding Enliven Entertainment, Ehrmann served as Vice President of the Music Division at MCY Music World, one of the earliest companies exploring commercial Internet music distribution and live streaming.
Initially joining as Director of Content Acquisition and Marketing before being promoted to Vice President, Ehrmann helped transition the company into one of the industry’s first large-scale Internet pay-per-view concert platforms. He negotiated strategic partnerships with Live Nation (then SFX Entertainment), secured sponsorships, licensed premium concert content, and produced groundbreaking online broadcasts featuring artists including Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, Paul McCartney, Sammy Hagar, and Ozzfest.
His business development efforts reportedly generated more than $60 million in new investment while demonstrating the commercial viability of digital concert streaming years before it became mainstream.
Senior Vice President – Paradigm Music Entertainment
(1996-1998)
Ehrmann joined Paradigm Music Entertainment to launch and lead a new archival recording division focused on catalog development and historical music releases.
As Senior Vice President, he directed artist development, sales, marketing, licensing, publishing, manufacturing, and production while negotiating rights for previously unreleased master recordings. Under his leadership, the division generated more than $2 million in sales during its first year and helped position the company for future acquisitions and expansion.
His responsibilities included contract negotiations, archive restoration, mastering, licensing, and strategic planning, providing valuable experience that would later become central to Enliven’s archival production business.
President – King Biscuit Flower Hour Records
(1992-1996)
Earlier in his career, Ehrmann founded and served as President of King Biscuit Flower Hour Records, where he helped preserve one of rock music’s most important live performance archives.
He negotiated the rights to the legendary King Biscuit Flower Hour radio concert collection, consisting of more than twenty years of live recordings from over 450 major recording artists. Working through complex contractual and licensing issues, he transformed the archive into
commercially successful CD releases and secured distribution agreements with major record companies.
